1. Turn down the brightness—It’s amazing how much battery life is drained lighting your device’s screen. Turn down the brightness a little bit to keep your phone’s battery juiced up.
2. Turn off unnecessary notifications and fetch options—So many apps these days are constantly running in the background, fetching new data and sending new notifications to your phone all the time. This takes battery power to achieve. You can turn off notifications on most apps to help preserve battery life.
3. Use power saving mode if available—Some smart phones have a special power saving mode you can toggle on to preserve battery life. Turning the power saving mode on will restrict your phone to its most basic functions: making calls, sending text messages, and limited web browsing. This can be very helpful in situations where you’re trying to make those last few remaining percent of battery life last.
4. Be careful in low signal areas—You can’t expect to always be in an area that has full strength cell phone signal. That’s impossible. You’ll inevitably be in areas, from time to time, where you have only 1 or 2 bars in your signal.
